Mission Statement

As a community of learners, we strive for and celebrate excellence in a diversity of ways and in all aspects of daily life. We are committed to developing community connections and philanthropic goals and ideology. Our slogan is “Aiming for Excellence.”

About Our School

Opened in September 1999, Maple Ridge is a facility nestled in the growing community of Fallingbrook South in Orléans. We are proud of our two-storey building, which is designed around a pod concept with four wings. Each wing is occupied by classes from various grade levels. We are fortunate to have an adjacent park, which we share with our community, as well as a Community Centre built as part of the school, which offers us some unique and specialized facilities, such as a skating rink and three tennis courts.

Academic Programs

Maple Ridge is a dual-track school offering both English and Early French Immersion programs. We offer a 2 year Full Day Kindergarten program. Students in the English program (grades 1 to 8) receive 40 minutes per day of Core French programming.

Students in the Early French Immersion program (grades 1 to 8) receive 80% of their instruction in French in grade 1, 60% of their instruction in French in grades 2 to 6 and 50% of their instruction in French in grades 7 to 8.

Special Education and ESL Programs

We have a program for pupils with Developmental Disabilities: primary, junior and intermediate. This program include a strong focus on life skills as well as Individual Educational Plans to guide each child’s developmental skills. Maple Ridge offers support and educational assessments with our skilled Learning Support Team, teachers and educational assistants including other specialists both on and off-site. In addition, we support and develop a variety of models for special education delivery for regular classroom students, with a philosophy of supporting students with their peers in their classrooms where possible.
